When Moses had brought the people of Israel out of the slavery in Egypt, he sent 12 men into the Promised Land, Canaan, to spy and find out how the country was. 10 of these men came back with a negative report, speaking words of defeat. They said: We are nothing! We are like grasshoppers compared with them!
But praise God for the 2 other spies, Joshua and Caleb. They refused to speak negatively! They saw the same things, but they had another perspective! They said: “They are like bread for us. Their defense is departed from them and the Lord is with us. Fear them not!” Numbers 14,9
Never allow negative thoughts to dominate you and make you say negative words! Think the thoughts of God and speak as the word of God.
Numbers 13,32 – 33: “They spread among the Israelites a bad report about the land they had explored. They said, "The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size. We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them."
